During her successful 2019 provincial campaign, a constituent on whose door Janice knocked claimed that she gave a "pro-choice" (in favor of baby-killing) response when asked about abortion. However, the details have not been verified by a second source. Another reason that brings uncertainty about Janice's position on abortion is that she actually voted AGAINST a pro-abortion NDP measure that sought to criminalize peaceful, pro-life expression on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within a radius of up to 150 metres around abortion killing centres.
