In December 2020, MP McLean voted to dramatically expand the euthanasia killing regime in Canada under Bill C-7.

In June 2021, this MP voted against pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

In the same month, this MP disgracefully revealed himself to be an enemy of parental rights, and science, by voting to pass Bill C-6, legislation that will jail parents for up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex.

On May 3, 2022, in the wake of a leaked draft decision by the US Supreme Court to finally overturn the barbaric Roe v. Wade ruling that imposed abortion on the US in 1973, MP McLean tweeted that "for the record, I am pro-choice". McLean sent the tweet in response to an interrogation by a Twitter user who demanded to know how McLean voted on a maneuver by Bloc Québécois MP Christine Normandin to present a unanimous consent motion in the House of Commons that would invent, on the fly and without the tabling of a bill, a so-called "right" in Canada for pregnant mothers to murder their unwanted children by abortion.
